subscribers actually want.

On TikTok, subscriber emotes are one of the perks fans get when they subscribe to you through LIVE Subscription. On YouTube, custom emoji are one of the perks of joining your channel membership. Either way, they're something fans can only have by supporting you.

They also travel. Every time a subscriber drops one in a LIVE chat, everyone watching sees it, including the people who haven't subscribed yet. Emotes that look like you, and say the things you say, give fans a reason to join and a way to show they did.

An emote is drawn big and seen tiny. Something that looks great as a full-size picture can turn into a smudge in a busy chat, so we don't judge a draft at full size.

Every draft in your portal is shown in a dark chat and a light chat, at the small size the apps use, so you see exactly what your fans will see before you approve it. Your designer works from square, transparent PNGs drawn larger than they need to be, so they stay crisp when the app shrinks them.

You review each emote on its own. Approve it, or ask for changes and say what you'd like different: bigger eyes, darker hair, shorter text. Your designer uploads a new version and it comes back to you.

When every emote in the set is approved, we prepare your pack. Nothing goes into it that you haven't said yes to.

Neither TikTok nor YouTube lets anyone add emotes for you from outside the app. You upload them yourself: on TikTok in your LIVE Subscription settings, on YouTube in YouTube Studio with your membership perks.

So we hand you a pack with each emote already sized for the app, the full-size originals, and the steps written out. Apps move their menus around now and then; if yours look different from our steps, follow the app, or message your team and we'll walk you through it.
