Clicks by platform, even when the apps hide where they came from
TikTok's and Instagram's in-app browsers often open a link without saying where the visitor came from. Counted the usual way, a big share of your clicks shows up as "unknown", which is no use to you or the brand.
So the link you share on each platform carries a small tag saying where it was posted. The tag wins when it's there; when it isn't, we fall back to where the visitor came from. The brand sees TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and link-in-bio clicks apart, and you see which platform actually drives people to buy.
